Did you know that everyone cannot operate a lift truck? Operating a lift truck (often called a forklift) is a specialised job that requires training and authorisation by your organisation as a qualified operator. Operating a lift truck is an important job. So important that the federal government requires that all lift truck operators be trained and authorised by their organisations. Nigeria safety regulation states that “Only trained and authorised operators shall be permitted to operate a powered industrial truck.”
